China is in the midst of a great transition and China’s chemical industry enters
a new era themed with innovation and sustainability. Facing serious environmental
pollution, how is China’s energy structure evolving and how to grasp opportunities
and to avoid risks? How to rise to the overcapacity challenges through optimizing
the industry chain and technology innovation? With the U.S. shale gas revolution
and China’s coal chemical development spree, how to optimize feedstock supply for
competitive advantage? Given the current situation in the petrochemical market within
China and in a worldwide context, what are the smartest moves for sustainable growth
and long-term profit? What particular challenges can we expect in the next few years
and what are the best strategies in preparing for these eventualities?
World Petrochemical (China) Summit 2014 (WPCS2014)will take place on November
5‐7, 2014 in Shanghai, China, bringing together 300+ regulators, senior representatives
of the world's leading petrochemical/chemical producers, traders, service companies

petrochemical industry in China in particular, and the world in general. Opportunities
and challenges will be discussed and solutions put forward for the benefits of attendees.
In particular, we are organizing “Innovation & Sustainability Awards Ceremony” on Nov
6 evening to showcase innovation, recognize and reward best practice sustainability for
